- Good math skills required, i.e. converting fractions and decimals, basic algebra. Must be able to read a tape measure to 16ths of an inch.
- Works from blueprints and shop drawings to lay out miscellaneous steel such as railings, stairs, fences, window guards, gates, columns and steel stairs.
- Cuts, punches, and drills material as required.
- MIG welds steel materials such as tube, angle and channel, ranging from 16 gauge to ½” thick. TIG welding capability of brass, aluminum and stainless steel is a plus.
- Grinds materials to high finish standards.
- Heavy lifting is required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- State certification by Badger Railing will be required.
- Work is paid on a piece rate basis.
- This is not production welding. The fabricator takes the job from the blueprints through laying out the job, cutting materials, welding, grinding and finishing.
- A Valid WI driver’s license is required. Although they will not be driving while on the agencies payroll, they must be able to be insured by our insurance company.
